Looks just as I thought it would. The metal has quite a warm sheen to it. Like the pendant with peacocks, this brooch also came in a nice case. The needle is fairly thick (as it would be on a brooch of the period), so I prefer to use it as a pendant on a string necklace. It stays on without falling or opening, no modifications required. Since the brooch has lovely engravings on both sides, I sometimes switch front and back when I use it as a pendant. Very happy with it!

The sizes are just as described, which means the pendant is quite big. It looks nice. The frontal side of the medallion has a protective coating so hopefully that will keep it safe from scratches. The motif with the peacocks seems a close reproduction of the original medieval pendant. The colors are vivid yet don't feel tacky, and the metal also has a very warm tone to it. The chain is fairly long; perhaps I'll shorten it just a bit.
